So today, a
"study" came out concluding that using Vick's vapor rub on an infant can be bad. The article's tag line says "Vicks VapoRub, the cold ointment often dabbed under noses or rubbed on the soles of feet, may cause potentially dangerous breathing problems in very young children, researchers said." Ok, first, WTF are people doing rubbing Vick's on the soles of
anyone's feet? Is it supposed to cure their stuffy nose through osmosis? Is there anyone who actually does this? And if so, are there actually enough people doing it that you should put it in your tag line? Also, how the hell would putting the stuff on your feet cause respitory arrest? I mean searously, even in an infant, there is a good eighteen inches from the bottoms of the feet to any part of the body used to intake air. Finally, hello? The damn product says right on the label that you shouldn't use it on anyone under two years of age. So....basically, what this article says is that we should all go into a panic and pull Vick's off the shelf, lest someone improperly expose the underside of an infant's feet to the risk of respitory failure. Must be a slow news day.

Curse you MSN, you may have gotten the last laugh this time, but just wait. Next time I'll successfully mock one of your stories (I actually can't mock this story...it's bad times out there, and people are desparate. Sometimes, you just really need a beer to take the edge off).
Oh, and in the spirit of continuing to post pictures, here's one of my adorable kids hanging out with their friend Ben.
Ah Carole, only you can make me shoot soda out my nose due to uncontrollable laughter while reading your blogs.
